Essex County BassAnglers will hold four (4) tournaments in 2008. There is a membership fee of $10.00 per member each year, and entry fees for the tournaments will remain at $150.00 per team. The only exception to the entry fees will be if we make one of the tournaments a mega tournament. If that is the case, an announcement will be made well ahead of time. We are also looking at increasing the big bass pot but we haven't decided yet. We were getting some suggestions to increase it, but we would like to get a little more feedback on this before we increase it.
All of our tournaments are scheduled to start at 7:00 AM. The teams may be held back a little later in the season due to the sunrise time. You must check-in by 3:30 PM for the weigh-in. If you are late, there is a 1 lb. per minute penalty up to fifteen minutes. If you are later than fifteen minutes you will be automatically disqualified.
The Invitational will not be held in 2008, and the Team of The Year award will not be available. We are looking at some other possibilities to replace either or both with something else, but we have nothing in place at this time. The payout formula has been altered so that we can pay down more places. If we have more than thirty teams, we will pay down ten spots, with ninth and tenth getting their entry fee back.

You can sign up on the morning of the tournament at the site or you can pre-pay by printing out the entry form below and sending the tournament fees to the address below. The tournament schedule has been shortened from seven to four. It wasn't overwhelming, but the info we got from the survey that Dan Mason did up for us indicated that the majority wanted less tournaments over the year. The survey, along with suggestions in the forum, were used to help us get ready.

If a team plans to pay ahead to secure an early spot for a particular tournament, please be advised to postdate the cheque by at least one week before the tournament date and that the cheque must reach us no later than one week prior to that tournament.
